I'm an adjunct with Seton Hill University's Writing Popular Fiction MFA program and this June I'm giving my second lecture on LGBTQ Romance. The last time I did this, two years ago, it was a big success, at least in part because of the survey I conducted of the Goodreads M/M romance group.
So, I'm doing the survey again and this time I'm opening it up to all readers of LGBTQ romance. Getting as many responses as possible is vital to the success of the project and I'm hoping you can help. Please take a moment to complete the survey. Your response is important. There are thirty questions and it takes about five minutes to finish. All responses are anonymous and the data will be presented both online and at the lecture, which I'm giving in late June. The survey will be open until June 15 but please go now and fill it out. It doesn't take long and you know if you put if off, you're going to forget.
And that's not all I want from you, either. Please share the link to the survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LGBTQRom2015) with anyone you know who reads LGBTQ romance in any of it's ever-expanding forms. Again, it's important to get lots of responses so the data is meaningful. Thank you so much for your help!
BTW, Seton Hill University's Writing Popular Fiction program is the only MFA creative writing program specifically focused on genre fiction such as romance, mystery and sf. I have been a vocal advocate for gay and queer romance since I was first hired and have always had tremendous support from administration and other faculty. Response to the last lecture was overwhelmingly positive and I'm very excited about having the opportunity present it again.
Oh, and if you're curious about those results from two years ago, here they are.
