Review of Libyrinth by Jim Hines

This is a bit belated, but the lovely Jim Hines, author of the Goblin Quest trilogy and the Stepsister Scheme series, gave Libryinth a nice review:

"The written word vs. oral tradition conflict taken to such extremes was both fascinating and highly disturbing."

  • "With Libyrinth, I started out writing a book about censorship, and wound up writing a book about peace. During the time that I wrote it, two things happened which shaped the course of the story. One is that our country invaded Iraq, and the other is that I became a Buddhist. The central character, Haly, starts out in a place where she believes she knows who is good and who is bad.
