The alley tilted
and spun like a
drunken dancer.
The black spots
came back.
They brought friends.
It was the suit, just as tall and
achingly beautiful
as Droje's fractured memory recalled.
Larke dabbed antibiotic ointment on the lip, trying not to notice the velvet texture or the rest of the man's compact, muscular body. He sucked at not noticing
Moments or hours later,
the sound of approaching footsteps
echoed down the long empty corridor
of Droje's mind.
An alley loomed ahead.
Fear slithered up
Larke's

Another dose of

In the nook formed by
the dumpster and the alley wall
huddled a man.
He was naked.
This looked exactly like the sort of place where
a good, law-abiding Hanovan would get jumped by
rogue uncons.
Except Larke wasn't exactly good or law abiding.
The words slipped away from him and he followed them down a long dark tunnel into nothing.
I'm just thrilled because Unlawful now has six reader reviews on Amazon, plus one on Amazon UK! Woot! Big thanks to my readers for helping spread the word about this book. You're the best!
